Dr. David Barnett , Founder and President, has been a leader in the study of individual productivity and career development since 1993. His early work was in association with behavioral psychologists Dudley & Goodson with whom he co-authored the 1995 edition of Earning What You’re Worth? The Psychology of Sales Call Reluctance. He later broke with Dudley & Goodson’s assumption that social phobias are the root cause of productivity problems in salespeople and became a pioneer of the positive psychology movement in the field of behavioral sales assessments.

Barnett’s research challenged the notion that only personality factors are stable and predictable enough for study across time and occupations. His psychodynamic Four Levels Model was a breakthrough in the field of sales productivity and has more recently enabled not only the behavioral analysis of customer service, but also the exploration of the inherent relationships between sales and service in proactive business environments.

In addition to a Master’s degree in counseling psychology, Dr. Barnett holds an earned doctorate in Organizational Management from McCormick Seminary at the University of Chicago. He completed a pre-law degree at Indiana University and has served on the faculty of several business universities. He has presented his findings at leading sales organizations and industry conferences.
